There are a few occasions when I have a strange dream, that I remember vividly, so much so that I can write them up. Then I can read them, and think, was there something to this, or is it just a strange dream? This week’s post is one of those strange dreams. As I’ve got nothing else for this week, I’ll post it now. Read on if you are interested in it, and maybe there might be something here… ???
So, the dream…
There was a high diving board that had just been opened. It was so new, that no one had ever used it yet. It was so high, that it was considered that only a highly trained diver, was the only one considered to be safe to attempt to dive from it.
There was a young diver, who had a little experience with diving, who had an overwhelming desire to be the first to use the diving board.
There was a few people who learned about the young diver’s plan to be the first to use the extremely high diving board.
They tried to persuade the young diver to not do it. “Are you crazy? You could hurt yourself, or even get yourself killed. Don’t even consider trying to make use of that high diving board!”
The young diver’s compulsion was too great though, and he was putting a plan into action.
He planned to make a start, when there was less people about.
The way to access the diving board was very different. There was no ladder to climb. Instead, on the ground there was an ejection device. The diver stepped on a belt, that then moved him to the ejection platform. As the belt moved the diver to the ejection platform, the device had worked out how much energy was required to safety transport the diver to the high diving platform.
When the diver landed on the high diving platform, there was another belt, that would move the diver, to the diving position, and then start the dive. In essence, all that the diver needed to do, was to start the process, then trust that all would be OK. If he could just hold his nerve, and trust the device, then all would be OK. (Remember, I am writing up another strange dream.)
The diver, put his plan into action, and stepped onto the belt, of the ejection device. The longer belt on the floor, was possibly so, so that if there were any nerves from the diver, they could stop the dive, by simply stepping off of the belt. The diver held his nerve though, and was duly ejected into the air, after being correctly put into the right position, and then landed on the high diving platform. The very short belt, then moved the diver to the starting position, and started the dive. The diver thought that it was good that it was a short belt on the platform, as it took away time, for any nerves to appear. (I remind you again, that this was a strange dream.)
So, the diver was shot into the air, then very quickly he was on his way back down to the to diving pool. He did a few twists and turns, he was a diver after all, and thought, there maybe some heat from doing this, so I’d ought to do the best I can, especially if it’s going to be my last dive. Then he successfully landed in the pool.
The very last decision the diver needed to make, was the angle he entered the water. Instead of opting for straight down, he went for a slight angle, so that he would travel along the pool, instead of hitting the bottom.
As the diver landed in the pool, the water splash was much larger than the designers had thought it would be, as such, the water wasn’t contained by the pool, but spilled outwards, making the whole surrounding area, soaking wet. (In the dream, there was a sense of, the problem of the large splash was because of the designers, and not because of anything that the diver did.)
Before anyone knew what was going on, there was press photographer’s taking pictures of the aftermath, with the headline running through there head, “The Mess Left behind, after First Use of the High Diving Board!”
Then I woke up.
As I said at the start of this post, it was just a strange dream, that I just easily managed to write up. Is there anything more to it than that? I’ll let you and Our Lord God be the judge of that. (Perhaps He might possibly give you some thoughts about it???)
