Knowing The Truth, can Change your Perspective!

I saw a large ish spider in the bath just recently. It reminded me of a time when I was much younger, and I had a plastic joke spider, which was a similar size.

You may have guessed where this one is going. 🙂

On one occasion, I placed my plastic spider, in my brother’s bed. I then forgot all about it.

When bedtime came, my brother got a bit of a shock. It gets better. 🙂

We all ended up, just looking at this spider, that was in my brother’s bed. Our Mum, being the only adult, then had to deal with the situation.
So a rolled up paper was found, and she then preceded to hit the spider. This spider, had super spider strength though. It would just bounce up a little, then just stand definitely, where it was.
My Mum started to say, “It just won’t die!!??”

I can remember a big smile, erupting across my face, as I remembered, putting said spider in place, earlier in the day. 🙂

I can then remember going over to the bed, then picking up my spider. I may have said something along the lines of, “Oh yes, I put him in there earlier.” Probably with a big grin, on my face.

We then all laughed about it (Some more than others).
I had managed to prank not only my brother, but our whole family, including myself, until I remembered what I had done earlier. 🙂

Once I had realised the truth, then fear and worry, dissolved into laughter, as I saw that we were all concerned, by a simple plastic spider.
Knowing what the actual truth is, can make a big difference to your perspective.

Can you think of any such similar instances in your past?
A time when you were so concerned over something, but when you realised the truth, then your whole perspective on the situation, just changed?
We’ve all probably had them, in one way or another.

If we are facing a situation that is causing us some level of concern, then can we try to gain a better understanding of what the actual truth is?

Sometimes, the truth may be that we are facing a difficult situation, that needs to be dealt with. But even in these situations, can we hear partial lies, that can end up making the situation seem as if it is worse than it is?

Other times, we may even be facing a complete lie, that when we realise the truth, it can leave us thinking, “What/Why was I so concerned over this!!??”

In all instances, seeking the actual truth, is always going to be a good path to take.

John 8:31-32
31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The above, is the official end of this post, but I do feel as if there is a bit of extra time, to be had.

There is a lie, that the world, seems to be speaking/taking on board about God.
That lie is that, “God is a judgemental God, who is watching and waiting for us to fail, and then bring a judgement against us.” As I have said, I believe that statement, is a lie.
The truth is that God is Love, and He Loves us, with a Love that goes beyond measure. Perhaps I’ll look into this more, in a future post???

I do have a previous post that kind of looks into this thought, from a slightly differnt viewpoint. A link to that post is below.

Daniel, God is my Judge

If there is anyone who would like a bit of further reading on the subject matter of being caught out by a lie, then there is a previous post, that I can point you to. (It’s a bit of a longer read.)
It’s a testimonial post, of when I got caught out by something, that I really shouldn’t have done, which then caused me a few days of grief and stress.

Most people, may just try to forget these things.
I go and write about it… Then post it… Then go as and tell people,
“It’s still out there, if you’d like to read it.” … ??? …
By all means, don’t feel the need to go and read it. 🙂

Apparently, I’ve been Involved in a Hit and Run?
